2nd March 2011

Kadina, South Australia

Around $7000 was raised for the Rose Cambodia Rehabilitation Centre when the community came together for an amazing night of support in Kadina. Items were donated for the auction such as baked cakes, a 4 kilo snapper, a day bus trip and a dressed lamb!

A meal was prepared by the Bute Lions Club with the meat donated by a local butcher. The Apex Club manned the bar with further contributions from individuals across the region.

This fundraiser was organised by Joanna Thomson and her family and they thank everyone who was involved and everyone that donated funds to this cause. What a fantastic night!

27th August 2010

Concord, New South Wales

Rose Charities Australia held a fundraising dinner at Chilli Jam in Concord, NSW. It was attended by in excess of 50 people who were treated to a lovely Thai Banquet that included whole barramundi deep fried! Cambodian scarves were sold and there was a chick pea guessing competition- the winner receiving a Cambodian scarf. Guests learnt about Rose Charities Australia and the current project in Phenom Penh orchestrated by Joanna Thompson. The dinner raised over $2000. It was certainly a fun filled night.
