OUR PURPOSE
All Rose Charities arms operate under the following MISSION STATEMENT:
“Through innovative, self-sustaining projects and partnerships, Rose Charities supports communities to improve quality of life. We do this within a framework of volunteerism that places emphasis on results. By linking people and working together we all benefit. The Rose Charities international network of independent organizations are not-for-profit, secular and non-political”.
Rose Charities Australia ‘s primary focus is on assisting those with physical disability, by any means possible. Its purpose is to facilitate the delivery of good ground level projects which are beneficial, financially transparent and cost effective. It provides this assistance by supporting projects ‘on the ground’, developing ownership at a community level and by providing much-needed training to staff and project beneficiaries so that projects are sustainable and will continue to grow long after Rose Charities Australia’s initial involvement.
The board consists of volunteers and projects are implemented with zero or close-to-zero administration costs.
There is always a strong emphasis on skills transfer to local counterparts so training and teaching components rank highly in all projects.
The Directors of Rose Charities Australia aim to target reliability, sustainability and real effectiveness at ground level, rather than focusing on things on a grand scale. Projects must be relevant, high quality, cost effective, financially transparent and identified by the community or individuals within the community itself. There should be predominantly local involvement and implementation of projects and clear benefit to the recipients.
